Countryside Locations

Outside the large urban areas, the countryside is a great deal.

Portugal possesses a high plain of varying height intersected by deep valleys. The north of the country is rugged, mountainous, but on the south of the central region you will find extended plains, with a mountain chain dividing Alentejo and Algarve.

Approximately half the country is used for agriculture, and the fishing industry has its presence, with and high quality of fish and sea food, being caught from the wild Atlantic Ocean.
